Cross-Platform Compatibility
The BL1860B only works with the 18V LXT system. It does not fit Makita 40V XGT tools or G-Series tools, and Makita batteries are not cross-compatible with DeWalt or Milwaukee systems.
Why Choose the BL1860B?
The BL1860B is the highest-capacity standard 18V LXT battery. Its star terminal enables use with Makita’s most power-hungry tools — including larger angle grinders (GA029G adaptor excepted), the HS7202 circular saw, and multi-voltage tools. If your tool shows a star symbol in its manual, you need a BL1860B (or BL1850B) rather than an older non-star battery.
Replacement Battery Options
Looking for a replacement or spare BL1860B? Genuine Makita replacements are available from authorised dealers. Compatible third-party batteries are also available — always verify the seller lists your specific tool models as confirmed compatible and check that the star terminal is present if your tools require it.
Specifications reflect standard production variants. Always verify compatibility with your specific tool model before purchase. For the most current product information, visit the manufacturer’s official website.
