Recommended Battery

For the 2735-20, the 48-11-1830 (3.0Ah) or 48-11-1840 (4.0Ah) are ideal choices. Work lights draw relatively low current, so a mid-range battery provides many hours of illumination without unnecessary weight. Use a 48-11-1850 (5.0Ah) if you need all-day lighting on a single charge.

Minimum Battery

The 48-11-1815 (1.5Ah) compact battery works perfectly with the 2735-20 for short tasks. On low mode, even the smallest M18 battery can provide a couple hours of light. This is a great way to use compact batteries that may not have enough capacity for power tools.

Battery Compatibility Notes

  • All M18 REDLITHIUM batteries are backwards and forwards compatible with every M18 tool
  • Work lights are low-demand — this is a great use for older or lower-capacity batteries from your collection
  • M18 batteries are NOT compatible with M12 tools or older V18 tools
  • Lower light modes significantly extend battery life — use medium or low when full brightness isn’t needed
