Festool Router Collet Sizes

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| OF 1010 EBQ | Light plunge router | 1,010W | 1/4″ + 8mm | 6mm available | 27mm |

Festool uses a proprietary collet system that accepts a wide range of insert sizes. The beauty of this system is that you can buy additional collet inserts to run almost any shank size on any Festool router — from 6mm right up to 12mm. The downside is that these collet inserts aren’t cheap (typically £15-25 each) and aren’t cross-compatible with other brands.

If your collet is worn or you need a different size, Trend’s aftermarket collets are often better quality than the originals.
