Recommended Battery
DCB205 or DCB206 — Circular saws are power-hungry tools. A 5.0Ah or 6.0Ah battery is strongly recommended for consistent cutting performance and avoiding mid-cut battery drops.
Minimum Battery
DCB204 — A 4.0Ah battery handles light cutting but expect frequent swaps for sheet goods or framing work.
Battery Compatibility Notes
All DeWalt 20V MAX batteries share the same rail-mount system. FLEXVOLT batteries are backward-compatible at 20V. Higher Ah ratings mean longer runtime, not more power.
